Step 1: Open the Document
Once the document has been generated, you can find it in the Docs tab.
From the main Gino interface:
Click Docs on the left-hand side of the screen.
Find the relevant document and click it to access the available editing options.
Step 2: Choose How to Edit the Document
There are two ways to edit the document:
Relaunch the questionnaire: Click Relaunch to reopen the questionnaire. You can then add or edit the answers associated with the document’s variables.
Tip: This is the recommended method when editing variables.
Edit the document in Word: Click Edit, represented by the Word icon. The document will open in Word, allowing you to manually edit the entered information or the body text.
Tip: Use this method only to edit the body text.
Special Case: Grouped or Linked Documents
When you edit a document directly in Word, the changes apply only to the document you opened. They are not automatically reflected in other grouped or linked documents.
For example, if you manually edit a variable in Word and the new value is subsequently updated in the contract record, the change will not be applied to other documents in the group, such as a related amendment.
To update a variable shared by several documents, we therefore recommend relaunching the questionnaire. If you choose to make the change directly in Word, you must open and update each relevant grouped or linked document separately.
Step 3: Save Your Changes
Once you have finished editing, save the document.
A new version of the document will automatically be generated in Gino.
Step 4: Rerun Data Extraction
After the new version has been generated:
Open the relevant document.
Click Rerun Extraction in the action bar at the top of the page.
Gino will analyze the new version of the document and update the extracted information.
Step 5: Approve the New Contract Record
Once extraction is complete, review the information identified by Gino.
Approve the new contract record to save the updated data.
