Creating grouped documents from an imported contract with data extraction

Updated over 3 weeks ago

It is now possible to create grouped documents from an imported contract, provided that its data extraction has been validated.

What’s changing

When an imported contract has a validated extraction:

  • the “Create a grouped document” option becomes available,

  • an automated document (e.g., purchase order, appendix, etc.) can be created from this contract,

  • the imported contract and the generated documents share the same data sheet (Q&A).

👉 Shared data is automatically carried over and synchronized across all documents in the group.

🔁 Data synchronization

  • Any change in one document in the group updates the shared Q&A.

  • A new validated extraction on the imported contract automatically propagates the data to the grouped documents.

  • AI-derived values lose their reference if they are modified manually.

🚫 Not allowed / Forbidden combinations

  • It is not possible to create a grouped document if the extraction has not been validated.

  • It is not possible to group multiple imported contracts together.

  • It is not possible to link an imported contract (with or without extraction) to an existing Gino document.

➡️ In practice:

Only the following sequence is allowed:

Imported contract with validated extraction ➜ creation of a grouped automated document.

In summary

  • An imported contract with validated extraction can be used as the basis for grouping.

  • Documents share a common, synchronized Q&A.

  • No other combinations are allowed: no grouping between imported contracts, nor with existing Gino documents.

  • Data consistency is guaranteed across the entire group.
